We are looking for a Senior Test Analyst to join our growing company and form an integral part of the Quality Assurance Team. You will need to be eager to learn and motivated to succeed. Your focus will be mainly on our website and mobile application with the opportunity to work on some of our API integration as well.
Knowledge of cryptocurrency is a benefit but not a pre-requisite. You will be required to learn the business and how you can directly contribute to our systems performing at an optimal level of quality for our users.
This role will be reporting to the Head of Quality Assurance and will be collaborating with a range of functions including Development, Marketing, Support and Operations.
A broad role with plenty of scope for growth, no day is ever the same but some of the key activities will include:
- Creating and maintaining test cases, test data and test results
- Participating in System, System Integration, Mobile Application, API and Regression Testing
- Engaging the development team and teams across the business to work through defect resolution
- Creating test data files with valid and invalid scenarios to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow
- Conducting tests and analyze results to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and/or client requirements
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with other IT Services functions and customers to expedite delivery of IT solutions
- Working closely with both onshore and offshore development team members to deliver projects on time, meeting cost and quality requirements
- Documenting test strategies and create test plans.
- Creating and maintain knowledge repository for system functionality and test documentation
- Performing test closure activities
- Focusing on continuous process improvement
- Being able to adapt to changes in industry and business requirements without sacrificing quality
- Documenting and analysis of requirements and specifications as needed
About you
You will need to:
- Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal to effectively communicate with other groups across the business
- Have a keen eye for detail, an understanding of complex system integrations and the ability to identify potential points of failure
- Have exceptional organisational skills as this is required for the documentation of test cases, data and results
- Be able to identify testing pain points and assist with implementing improvements towards these areas
- Be involved in recommendations to the wider team with regard to process changes and assist with the drive of the implementation of these
- Provide recommendations and analytical expertise on enhancement requests raised and challenge these requests if necessary
- Be able to write requirements for system changes
- Be capable of managing small to midsize pieces of work with minimal supervision and escalate any issues that require attention
- Possess the ability to prioritise personal workloads to best meet the objectives of the organisation
- Work together with the business around the change process
- Be able to work from the office
Other skills and experience which would be ideal:
- 5 years of experience in Testing
- Previously worked in Agile Delivery
- Demonstrated understanding of Software Development Lifecycle
- Ability to think more broadly than testing and understand the impact to changes across the business
