Reporting to the HR Manager in Sydney on a day-to-day basis, the HR Generalist will play a vital role in supporting recruitment efforts, facilitating seamless onboarding experiences, and assisting with various HR administrative tasks. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and passionate about HR.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the recruitment process by posting job ads, screening resumes, conducting initial screening interviews, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communication.
- Requesting and collating onboarding documents in line with our HR compliance standards.
- Supporting the development and execution of onboarding programs to ensure new hires feel welcomed and prepared for success.
- Creating new employee records in our Risk and Compliance management system.
- Maintaining accurate employee records, processing documentation, and assisting with HRIS updates.
- Collaborating with hiring managers to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.
- Contributing to the enhancement of HR processes and procedures by offering insights and suggestions for improvement.
- Stay informed about HR trends, best practices and employment law to support the ongoing development of HR initiatives.
About you
Skills and experience we are ideally looking for:
- A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in an operational HR and administration role.
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- A good understanding of the HR ecosystem, its principles, practices, and employment laws.
- A fast learner who can operate independently, follow internal procedures, and carry out tasks with a compliance mindset.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- A proactive team member willing to take on any task with a positive attitude.
Other skills and experience that would be ideal but are not essential
- Interest in/knowledge of the crypto industry.
- Previous experience within fintech.
